Sompot Chidgasornpongse

Sompot Chidgasornpongse (Boat) holds a BA in Architecture from Chulalongkorn University and an MFA in Film/Video from CalArts. His short films have screened at international festivals including Rotterdam, Oberhausen, Visions du Réel, Viennale, IndieLisboa, Film Fest Gent and SGIFF. His debut documentary, Railway Sleepers (2016), premiered in competition at Busan and screened at the Berlinale. He has also worked as assistant director to Apichatpong Weerasethakul on films including Tropical Malady, Syndromes and a Century, Cemetery of Splendour and Memoria. He is based in Bangkok.
