Synopsis

Each panelist will be given five minutes to present their thoughts on the following question: As AI becomes omnipresent – from completing our e-mails to completing our films – how should DIFF respond? Can we hold the democratizing nature of AI against the systemic issues it creates and capitalizes on? Should we punish filmmakers for using a technology that makes filmmaking possible for them, even as it renders filmmaking and the human touch itself fragile? The point of this forum is to engage the audience in trying to map out a potential strategy for DIFF to engage with AI cinema or AI in cinema in future editions of the festival.
