Sara Dosa

Sara Dosa is an Oscar-nominated nonfiction filmmaker whose work explores the human relationship with the more-than-human world. Her films include Fire of Love (2022), The Seer & The Unseen (2019) and The Last Season (2015), which have received numerous awards, including a Peabody and Directors Guild of America Award, and nominations for an Academy Award, BAFTA, Emmy and Independent Spirit Award. Her work has screened at festivals including Sundance, SXSW, CPH and Visions du Réel, and at museums including MoMA, BAMPFA and the Louvre. In 2018, she was named to DOC NYC’s inaugural “40 Under 40” and joined the Academy’s documentary branch.
