Gurvinder Singh

Director, Panelist at DIFF 2026

Gurvinder Singh studied filmmaking at FTII, Pune. His debut feature Anhey Ghorhey Da Daan (2011) premiered at Venice Orizzonti and screened at Rotterdam, Busan, MoMA New York, winning three National Awards and Best Film at IFFI, Goa. Chauthi Koot (2015) premiered in Un Certain Regard at Cannes, winning the National Award for Best Punjabi Film. Subsequent works include Bitter Chestnut (Busan, IFFR), Adh Chanani Raat (IFFR) and Trolley Times (MAMI, IFFR). Rehmat, his latest feature, premiered recently at the Locarno Film Festival in the Main Competition.
